It is a modern version of the bumper car, specifically designed for indoor leisure parks. Instead of a traditional steering wheel, the vehicles are often controlled by two joysticks, allowing 360° rotation on the spot. They are surrounded by a large shock-absorbing bumper for smooth, gentle collisions.
No, no complex infrastructure is required. The Bumpers run on self-contained batteries. You simply need a perfectly flat, hard, smooth surface to facilitate rolling, surrounded by a protective barrier (often half-walls or metal bumpers) to define the play area.
Thanks to the highly intuitive joystick controls, children can generally drive on their own from the age of 4 or 5, depending on their height. For younger children, there are two-seater Bumper models that allow a parent or an older brother/sister to accompany the child safely.
The vehicles are equipped with batteries designed for a full day of operation. Depending on usage intensity, they generally provide between 5 and 8 hours of continuous operation. Simply plug them into the mains in a dedicated area when the park closes, and they will be ready to use the next morning.
